My Vote Grid Responses
Votegrid.ca is a great resource for any Ontarians looking for information about where their municipal candidates stand on the important issues in their upcoming elections.
With Toronto’s election date of October 26th coming up quickly, I wanted to share my responses in terms of my top priorities and where I stand on key issues.
TOP PRIORITY
“Making Toronto more accessible by addressing the cost-of-living crisis, improving our transit, improving the physical design of our City, and creating meaningful engagement points within communities.”
2nd PRIORITY
“Taking a compassionate, uplifting, innovative and responsible approach to sheltering and supporting our most vulnerable citizens.”
LOCAL ISSUES
Supporting small business and the cultural sector; cultivating empathy and compassion for the marginalized; Building Brand Toronto; creating a transit system that everyone wants to use
TAXES & SPENDING
“I want to create a "Toronto Prosperity Tax" from a TBD amount on luxury home property values which will fund three streams: Small business support; city-wide beautification; and shelter funding.”
HOUSING & DEVELOPMENT
“I am committed to ensuring all Torontonians have access to truly affordable and well-designed housing, including shelters. I also want to reallocate developer funds from art to environmental projects.”
CLOSING ARGUMENT
“I want to lead Toronto in fortifying our city with a strong, innovative local economy; a compassionate citizenry; and the infrastructure to thrive.”
